Hi Simon, thanks for your feedback. My not announcing the microsponsors individually during the introduction was bad form so apologies for that. We did have posters with microsponsors on - they just didn't get put up until half way through Saturday.

I made sure I mentioned every microsponsor at the wrap-up talk on Sunday, because I was aware of not doing so during introductions.

Thanks again for your support and I'm glad you had a rewarding first BarCamp!

I personally think you all deserve a huge pat on the back. Despite budget constraints and the Sussex campus being pulled from underneath your feet at the last minute, I think you did a great job. It was my first BarCamp, and what really attracted me was the 'open' structure. This obviously places a hell of a lot of emphasis on the delegates. If no one gets involved or holds talks then it has a real impact upon everyone. I can confidently say I met some great contacts, many of which I going to connect with over the next few weeks. I’m not sure whether the “I want to know what Love Is” singalong is going to come back and haunt us, but it certainly helped break the ice.

Now while some were opposed to the venue, I think it was a great talking point, and ok, so it was a little bit dusty, I think we can't ignore the fact that for many of us it might be the last time we get to spend such a long amount of time in a venue like that before health and safety tear it down.

The swag bags, lunches, breakfast, drinks and the never ending supply of pizza was a great touch, particularly as the event was free, and looking bad I'd be happy to pay a nominal amount for a ticket or perhaps the option to make a donation would help to manage the budget.

One thing that was a bit of a shame was the individual mention of the micro sponsors. Despite their significant cumulative contribution to the event, there was no real mention. Not in the event introduction, or any posters or even on any of the pizza boxes! The large sponsors really stole the show...

Once again a huge thank you to all involved…..
