BarCampBrighton3 ticket dates

We’ll be releasing the first tranche of BarCampBrighton3 tickets this Tuesday (July 29th) at 11.00 in the morning. The URL for the tickets is http://barcampbrighton.eventwax.com/brighton-barcamp-3.

There’ll be a second tranche on Tuesday 12th August. We’ve already filled a number of places by inviting Geek Girls, Sussex Uni students and a couple of other groups.

We have put aside some reserved places for first-timers and international attendees who would be travelling overseas to be with us. If you fall into either of these two groups and would like to come along, please email Glenn Jones.

We’ll roll the unused allocations from these groups into the second tranche of tickets on the 12th. The URL for the second tranche will be the same as the first wave.

We’re really excited about BarCampBrighton3; we’re back at the Sussex University Student Union building which proved to be such a good venue last time. So if you think you’d like to come, don’t delay and sign up as soon as you can!

We are still looking for a last couple of sponsors for the event. If you can support our community event or known someone who can, we’d really appreciate the help.

Cogapp on board for another BarCampBrighton

Cogapp have kindly decided to sponsor another BarCamp. After sponsoring breakfast at the BarCampBrighton2, they have decided to take the obvious next step and buy Saturday’s lunch this time round!

Cogapp are a local company who help their clients to use online and interactive media for improved communication. Cogapp love to get involved with local events, they are also going to be at dConstruct 2008 (that’s the day before BarCamp) and have sponsored lots of other stuff in the past. I think its great to find a local company that’s so supportive of the community and we’re delighted to have them on board again.

Be sure to check out the Cogapp blog, its full of interesting posts such as their ideas for iPhone apps, a google maps mashup which lets you plan a route on foot, a GPS project they worked on at Mashed, social networking for your gran and more…

incase you missed it http://bit.ly/knMT8 we have a new date 2nd & 3rd October 2010
