More BarCamp Brighton tickets available

Tuesday, August 28th, 2007

We’ve had a few people turn in their tickets as they can’t come to BarCamp, so we’re giving them away in a mini-registration, which will open at 11am on Wednesday 29th August.

If you’d like a ticket but missed out the first time, please be ready at Event Wax at 11, there are very few so you’ll need to be both fast and lucky:

A big Thanks to the people who gave their tickets back to make sure others could enjoy it in their place, we hope to see you at the next one!

If you’ve had something come up and can’t attend, please let me know – paul@paulsilver.co.uk – and I’ll get Glenn to re-issue the ticket.

BarCamp Brighton Facebook group

Thursday, August 16th, 2007

If you’re on Facebook you can join the BarCamp Brighton group and do some fellow attendee-spotting.

Thanks to Jonathan of Inuda Innovations (one of our food sponsors) for sorting out the group.

Plotting BarCamp Brighton

Wednesday, August 8th, 2007

If you managed to get hold of a ticket, you’ll know by now that there are no spectators at BarCamp, only participants. Everyone must give a demo, a session, or a talk. So we’re holding a drop-in session so you can plot what you’re going to talk about/ get help with your talk/ meet the organisers. 6-9pm, Monday 20 August, at the Belle Vue. Sign up at Upcoming.

BarCamp Brighton sold out

Wednesday, August 8th, 2007

Thanks to everyone who signed up, the tickets have sold out (in 21 minutes!)

There might be the odd one going spare if sessions died or people drop out, we’ll announce any new tickets here.

BarCamp Brighton – Tickets open 11am

Tuesday, August 7th, 2007

Ticketing for BarCamp Brighton opens on Wednesday 8th August at 11am, you can register here at that time:
http://barcampbrighton.eventwax.com/barcamp-brighton

Registration

There are 80 tickets available, which we think will go very quickly, so there need to be a couple of rules:

1 You can only register for one ticket, with your own e-mail address
2 You have to promise to come for both days of BarCamp, and give a talk

OK, that’s more like three rules. If you can’t come for both days, please don’t register and leave the ticket for someone who can. We can’t really do anything to you if you don’t come, apart from maybe block you from the next event, but we might get a posse together and come and give you some very mean looks.

Nerves

If you’re nervous about talking (I certainly am) then don’t let this put you off. Matt’ll be holding a meet up before the event to help people work out what they want to talk about, and give some help with their presentation. We’ll also have on-line support for people who can’t make the meet.
